The majority of wheel blasting applications produce a peened, dimpled surface using high carbon steel grit. Our steel grit has a strong resistance to impact fatigue, making it exceptionally long-lasting and capable of cleaning quickly and effectively. Our high-carbon steel grit is used in a variety of processes, including shot peening, cleaning, descaling, and desanding. The highest quality grit is guaranteed by the centrifugal atomization procedure, a double heat treatment, ongoing quality control measures, and other factors.
High Carbon Steel Grit
For cleaning, descaling, etching, and desanding applications, high carbon steel grit creates an etched or angular surface profile. The wheel blasting machine and blast room both use our high-quality steel grit, which has a long useful life.
Types of High Carbon Steel Grit
- High Carbon Steel Grit GP- High Carbon Steel Grit GP is known as an angular shot and has the lowest hardness in the 42 to 52 HRC range. This is due to the grit's tendency to round out with time. It works well in the foundry sector because it cleans more quickly with little increase in maintenance expenses or wears on machine parts. It is mostly utilized in wheel blast machines. Cleaning, descaling, and desanding are all done with GP.
- High Carbon Steel Grit GL- The hardness of High Carbon Steel Grit GL is medium, falling between 53 and 60 HRC. It is specifically well suited to heavy descaling and surface preparation requirements and is utilized in shot blasting machine and blast rooms. Even though GL has a medium hardness, shot blasting causes it to lose its angular shape.
- High Carbon Steel Grit GH- Maximum hardness is between 60 and 64 HRC. It maintains an angular operating mix, making it perfect for surface etching requirements. In blast chambers, GH is frequently used for rapid cleaning and to create an anchor profile before coating.

Our Production Process
For the production of high carbon steel abrasives, we have two purpose-built production facilities totaling 4.000 m2. The factory creates the premium product utilizing cutting-edge technology to create a consistent, spherical grain:
- The centrifugalizing process produces more spherical and homogenous steel particles than high water jet streams.
- The abrasive becomes less brittle after undergoing a second heat quenching, which gives it a more consistent chemical and internal structure.
- Less microcracks develop when air quenching is used in place of water quenching, improving the abrasive's durability.
High Carbon Steel grit is created by atomizing molten steel, which is then subjected to a number of thermal and mechanical processes to give the end product the desired properties.
- Selecting the scrap with care.
- Melting the scrap in the induction electric furnace while incorporating the required alloys.
- Atomization using centrifugalizing to obtain a grain with a consistent shape.
- Using a screen to obtain the proper grain sizes.
- Spiraling to remove the shot with an odd shape.
- Quenching to achieve greater particle integrity and fewer stress cracks.
- Tempering.
- A second viewing.
- Packaging.
Our internal quality control staff continuously checks the uniformity and quality of our abrasives before, during, and after the process. The main performance characteristics of the abrasive are always being improved, and the production process is being optimized, in our research and development lab.
